‘Eclipse’ Top Ten Quotes that Should be in the ‘Twilight Saga: Eclipse’ Movie Script

1. I believe that. But I want you to know something — when it comes to all this enemies nonsense, I’m out. I am a neutral country. I am Switzerland. I refuse to be affected by territorial disputes between mythical creatures. Jacob is family. You are… well, not exactly the love of my life, because I expect to love you for much longer than that. The love of my existence. I don’t care who’s a werewolf and who’s a vampire. If Angela turns out to be a witch, she can join the party, too. Bella Swan, page 143.

2.It’s not like love at first sight, really. It’s more like… gravity moves. When you see her, suddenly it’s not the earth holding you here anymore. She does. And nothing matters more than her. And you would do anything for her, be anything for her… You become whatever she needs you to be, whether that’s a protector, or a lover, or a friend, or a brother. Jacob Black, page 176.

3.But I’ll never see anyone else, Bella. I only see you. Even when I close my eyes and try to see something else. Ask Quil or Embry. It drives them all crazy. Jacob Black, page 177.

4. I go a little berserk when I try to leave you. I don’t think I’ll go so far again. It’s not worth it. Edward Cullen, page 189.

5. You are the only one who has ever touched my heart. It will always be yours. Edward Cullen, page 195.

6. He sang me to sleep again and — aware even in unconsciousness that he was there — I slept free of nightmares. Bella Swan, page 208.

7.The way he stared at her! It was like a blind man seeing the sun for the first time. Like a collector finding an undiscovered Da Vinci, like a mother looking into the face of her newborn child. Bella Swan, page 242.

8.Besides… the more time I spend with you, the more human emotions seem comprehensible to me. I’m discovering that I can sympathize with Heathcliff in ways I didn’t think possible before. Edward Cullen, page 265.

9. You’ll always be my Bella, you’ll just be a little more durable. Edward Cullen, page 274.

10. I’m not that girl, Edward. The one who gets married right out of high school like some small-town hick who got knocked up by her boyfriend! Bella Swan, page 275.

Jackson Rathbone's directorial debut

When "Eclipse" star Jackson Rathbone's friend passed away several years ago from adrenal cancer, one of his deepest fears came true. "That's probably my worst fear in life, to see a friend pass away," he told Hollywood Crush while discussing his new horror movie, "Dread." "My friend Spencer was an incredible musician and artist and he had so many songs that never would see the light of day."
Instead of letting his artistic spirit remain a memory, however, Spencer's friends and family started an organization, The Spencer Bell Legacy Project, to honor their loved one's creativity and to raise money for adrenal cancer programs.

"The Spencer Bell Legacy Project has been up and running for the last three years," Jackson said. "We've been able to put out now three albums of Spencer's work posthumously. That to me is just incredible, the amount of people who have been supporting the cause for organ cancer awareness."
On April 24th, the Project is hosting a fundraiser concert in Dallas (called The Spencer Bell Legacy Concert) to benefit cancer research and awareness, headlined by Jackson's band, 100 Monkeys, and other friends of Spencer's (including Drew and the Medicinal Pen, The Stevedores, Evro, The Kissing Club and Tin Tin Can).
As a way to promote the concert, Jackson directed a music video (see it below) for a song of Spencer's called "Beautiful, More So." "It's a little ad for the Dallas show and the Spencer Bell Legacy Concert," he said. "Hopefully a whole lot of people will come out and rock out. A lot of bands are going to be playing."
The video was Jackson's directorial debut. "It was my first attempt at having an idea that coincides with a piece of music that I really love, and how I wanted to express that with the sentiment of a song, and also the lyrics. ...It was just funny because literally I had a day off, so I just kind of went in and went for it."

Stephenie Meyer Talks About Bree Tanner Novella on Her Website

Stephenie Meyer has updated her website providing more details
not covered in the press release. Here is what she had to say:

Surprise!

I have a new book coming out. It's called The Short Second Life of Bree Tanner. Well, it's more of a novella than an actual book—my version of a short story.

Actually, this has been a surprise to me, too. The reason why it's a surprise was that I never intended to publish this story as a stand-alone book. I began this story a long time ago—before Twilight was even released. Back then I was just editing Eclipse, and in the thick of my vampire world. I was thinking a lot about the newborns, imagining their side of the story, and one thing led to another. I started writing from Bree's perspective about those final days, and what it was like to be a newborn.

This story was something that I worked on off and on for a while, just for fun, in between the times I was writing or editing other Twilight novels. Later, when the concept for The Twilight Saga: The Official Guide came up, I thought that might be a good place for Bree. Her story is a nice complement to Eclipse; it explains a lot of the things that Bella never knew. So I dusted it off and finished it up for placement in the Guide.

At the same time, it came in handy for the Eclipse film. Melissa (Rosenberg, the screenwriter) had a ton of questions about what exactly was going on in Seattle, how Victoria managed things, what Riley was like, etc. I let her read what I had then, and later gave the whole thing to the director, David Slade. David asked if Xavier, Bryce, and Jodelle (Riley, Victoria, and Bree) could read it as well, so all the parties involved would end up having a really strong foundation for their characters before the cameras started rolling. I was pleased that this side of the story would make it into the film and was looking forward to including it in the Guide.

(Keeping it confidential: Here is Jodelle next to the bucket of waterlogged ashes that were once the pages of her copy of the Bree manuscript.)

Then I got the news: my "short story" was nearly 200 pages long when typeset. It was too long to fit into the Guide—without ending up with a tome as heavy as the Oxford English Dictionary. My publisher approached me with the idea of releasing the Bree story on its own. One of the major benefits of this plan was that it would be out before the movie, so people would get to know Bree before they saw her in the film. That made sense to me, and we decided to go ahead with it.

There was one thing I asked for: since this story had always been an extra for me, and was meant to be released with the Guide, I wanted to be able to offer it to my fans for free. You all have bought a ton of my books, and I wanted to give you this story as a gift. My publisher was awesome and embraced this idea. We still wanted to also produce a physical book with a cool cover (see below) that you can add to your set if you like, but starting at noon on June 7th until July 5th, it will also be available online at http://www.breetanner.com/.

One other aspect of this release is the plan to give a more important gift to people who really need it. One dollar of each book purchased in the US from the first printing will be donated to the American Red Cross for their relief efforts in Haiti and Chile and other parts of the world where people are in great need. We're going to have an option online as well, so you can choose to make a donation if you want when you read the story online. I hope you will. I think that we can really help a lot of people with this.

I really hope you all enjoy this story. I had a blast writing it. I'm glad that after all this time cooling her heels in my files, Bree finally gets her chance to shine.

Thanks for all the support,

Steph

Kristen Stewart and Dakota Fanning: BFFs

It’s no secret that they became close on the set of “The Runaways” but Kristen Stewart and Dakota Fanning are officially BFFs.

During a recent interview, the “I Am Sam” babe said that she and Miss Stewart share all aspects of their lives with each other.

“Kristen is one of my best friends in life now. We talk about everything, but I’m not saying much more! That’s another reason we were so excited to do The Runaways together. I couldn’t ask for a better person to stand by my side while I did a more grown up role.”

Dakota added, “Now, we hang out all the time. We go shopping or just out for dinner. The press loves it.”

Check out what Rob had to say about fighting, father figures and friendship in Part One, and read on to find out what Rob thinks of his Twilight fans and how Emilie feels about the end of Lost. Stay tuned for Part Three!

Robert on what convinced him to sign up to Remember Me:
"I think it was just I’d read tons and tons of scripts over the Summer after Twilight, I mean hundreds, and every one seemed exactly the same. This one, initially just how the dialogue was written, just seemed much more naturalistic than most things. Also Tyler as a character. I mean it seems like most movies that have a young, male protagonist as the lead, they have to be like either a virgin to begin with, and have to learn everything during the movie, or they go through the trials of the movie and end up a totally different person and they’re completely fine afterwards. But Tyler seems like he starts off with a lot of baggage and a very full-on developed character, and ends up just being developed in a slightly different way, rather than just becoming, 'Oh, I’m fine now. After going through this movie, I’m fine'. And you just never see that in films very much, especially for young people. I think that’s what initially appealed to me."

Robert on whether there are pressures to film box office hits:
"I never like anything, so it’s quite easy to decide what to do, you know, even movies I’m not in [laughs]. I’ve never felt any pressure to do anything particularly, even while we were shooting, I never thought about the box office or anything, it’s only when it came to promoting it that people ask you about that stuff. Obviously, it’s not like a Twilight movie, it’s an original screenplay and it doesn’t fit into any genre either. It’s not really that much of a feel-good movie; they don’t make movies like it anymore. I guess that’s how I really choose stuff, that’s the only real criteria I have, if there seems to be a gap in the market for something, then I try to do that. I’m trying to do that with all the other things I’m doing afterward too."

Emilie on Lost ending:
"It has been a big part of my life and it’s been a great ride. It’s kind of bittersweet that it’s ending, I’m really happy that they made a decision consciously to announce an end like three years ago and evolve the story the way they wanted to — you know give it a beginning a middle and an end — and also that it’s ending on a high note, it’s not sort of trickling away when no one cares, so I think that’s really positive. But obviously you miss things about projects and people you work with."

Robert on how important the fan reaction is to his new films: "When doing films like this which are quite difficult to just generically advertise, having something like Twilight and Lost gives it publicity immediately. I think if people go and see it, once you’ve got them into the cinema, it’s almost inevitable that they’ll get drawn in to it, hopefully. Yeah, so I don’t know, obviously you hope people like things, but if you start doing stuff to please a certain audience, then you’re going the wrong direction. I mean, you don’t even know the people you’re trying to please, especially when you’re trying to please huge swathes of people, but hopefully they like it."

Emilie on whether she thinks about her existing fan base in choosing roles: "I think it’s interesting that it was never really conscious for me in that way, but yeah, why not use a pre-existing fan base. But as you’re saying, you’re not going to please every fan. Every fan of Twilight or Lost isn’t going to love everything you do; they might fall in love with the setting or a character for a certain reason from one thing, but not be into the next. For me, it was just about challenging myself in a different way, and not pigeonholing myself into one category of actor."

EXCLUSIVE: Pierce Brosnan Confesses! ‘I Could Be Robert Pattinson’s Dad!’

Pierce opens up to HollywoodLife.com about his special bond with R-Patz, who played his son in Remember Me. They get coffee and go gambling together!
Pierce Brosnan doesn’t only play Rob Pattinson’s father in the film, Remember Me — they act like father and son in real life, too! (Sorry, Peter Facinelli!)

Jackson Rathbone jokes he wants Stanley Kubrick to direct Breaking Dawn

Should "Breaking Dawn" be in 3-D? While all the "Twilight" stars have their own opinions, with Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart not really digging the idea, MTV News caught up with Jackson Rathbone to get his take.
"I think some films work in 3-D, and some films don't," he told MTV News on the orange carpet at the Kids' Choice Awards over the weekend. "I don't necessarily think it should be 3-D, but, hey, you know, it's up for the production to decide."

Rathbone also weighed in on who should direct the flick. There are several big names up for the job — including Gus Van Sant, Sofia Coppola, Bill Condon and Stephen Daldry — but Rathbone has his own idea. "I'm really pulling for them to resurrect Stanley Kubrick and have him helm the film," he joked. "I'm really hoping for that. I want a zombie Stanley Kubrick to direct 'Twilight 4.' "

Kristen Stewart's Director Reveals New 'An American Girl' Details

As you may know, Kristen Stewart will be starring in a new film called An American Girl, and in an interview with WGRZ-TV, director and producer James Woods reveals more details about the Twilight star's dramatic role.

"[It's] about a young woman Marine who serves her duty in Iraq and is wounded and learns some great lessons in the Marines that change her life, even though she pays the price," he says. "...I'm kind of proud to say it's a movie that honors people who've stayed in harm's way for the values that we all share in America."

James was recently in Buffalo searching for filming locations for the movie. He says he chose the New York town because it's the "heartland of America." The release date for the film is still up in the air, but James says he hopes to complete filming by the end of the year so that it can be submitted for next year's Oscars.

"Kristen does the Twilight series, as you know, and she's got some serious obligations for the next installment of Twilight, so we've got a window," he says of the project's time line. "That's an important window that we have to fill."

What do you think of the premise of An American Girl? Does it sound like something you would want to see or does the description already bore you? We think it could be a challenging role for Kristen, and something completely different than what's she's done in the past, but it might just be too heavy for us to handle. However, until we see a trailer we won't be able to call it either way.

Twilight's Ashley Greene On Set Of Her New Movie - Pictures

Twilight's gorgeous Ashley Greene has left Alice Cullen behind as she films her new movie, The Apparition which co-stars Harry Potter's Tom Felton (Draco Malfoy).

The young actress looked gorgeous with her long flowing locks back and the warm sunny weather around her. A far cry from the rain and cold of the Twilight sets!

The Apparition tells the story of a young couple (Ashley and Tom) who are haunted by a supernatural presence that is unleashed during a college experiment.

Billy Burke's Twilight moustache

Billy Burke has joked that his Twilight moustache has a life of its own.

The 43-year-old decided to grow the facial hair for his portrayal of police officer Charlie Swan in the films, so that he wouldn't be recognised easily.

"Originally I came in and we were looking at two roles, but I had always had an affection for the Charlie role... Two weeks later, I showed up to the set with a moustache - from there, I have to grow a moustache for every movie; the moustache has a life of its own," he laughed.

He added: "I do get recognised more these days, now that the second film has come out, but the moustache was part of the plan - without the moustache, I'm unrecognisable most of the time."

Billy revealed he was drawn to Charlie's character, despite not sharing his love of sports or the outdoors.

"I get him, I get his inner sadness," he said.

"He and I are men of few words, I often don't speak unless spoken to. Other than that, he and I are nothing alike. I don't sit around watching sports all the time, I'm not an outdoors man by any means. I just have an appreciation for loss of love."

Twilight’s TV Takeover

New ‘Eclipse’ Novella By Stephenie Meyer Coming June 5th! ‘The Short Second Life Of Bree Tanner’

Brace yourself, Twilight fans. A new book from Stephenie Meyer is on the horizon.
The Short Second Life of Bree Tanner: An Eclipse Novella will be released at 12:01 a.m. June 5.

The 192-page story, an offshoot of the third novel in Meyer's best-selling teen vampire Twilight saga, has a first printing of 1.5 million. It's the first new Twilight title since Breaking Dawn, Book 4, was published two years ago.

The new novella is told in the voice of the teenage Bree, a "newborn vampire" whom we meet on page 569 in Eclipse. Ten pages later, she's dead.

"I started writing this a long time ago," Meyer said in an exclusive interview with USA TODAY. "It was when I was editing Eclipse. It was more of just an exercise so I could be clear about what was going on in the story."

The Twilight novels are told from the perspective of Bella, who falls in love with the vampire Edward Cullen.

"There's only so much stuff you can tell when what Bella sees and hears is all you can tell," Meyer says.

Bree is part of an army of newborn vampires created by Cullen family nemesis Victoria. Thirsty for revenge after the Cullens kill her vampire lover James, Victoria's plan is to use her army to kill the Cullens and Bella.

"The Short Second Life of Bree Tanner is pretty much contained in the last week of the newborns' existence before the big fight (between the Cullens and the vampire army) in the meadow in Eclipse," Meyer says. "It's the last week before Bree dies."

In the novella, Meyer says, Bree has been a vampire for about three months. No other details are being released.

But some plot points from the novella have made their way into the Eclipse film, starring Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart, which opens June 30. Meyer gave David Slade, the film's director, a draft to read during production. The character of Bree is played by Canadian actress Jodelle Ferland.

Fans have speculated that the next Twilight title would be Midnight Sun, the story of Twilight told in Edward Cullen's voice.

"I think they're all waiting for Midnight Sun," says Meyer, who put Sun on hold indefinitely in 2008 when a draft was posted on the Internet without her permission and went viral. "But I'm not writing about vampires right now."

Jackson Rathbone promises fans will be blown away by The Last Airbender

When "The Last Airbender" arrives in theaters in July, fans of the Nickelodeon animated series will finally get to see how well filmmaker M. Night Shyamalan has adapted their beloved show. For now, they can at least take the word of co-stars Dev Patel and Jackson Rathbone that the writer/director best known for twist-ending thrillers like "The Sixth Sense" and "Unbreakable" was well-suited for the job.
MTV News spoke to the young actors at the Kids' Choice Awards and learned about the director's personal and respectful approach to the highly anticipated film.

"He's so intense as a director," said Patel, who excitedly shared his experience of being covered in live fire for his performance as Prince Zuko, the fire bender. "And his kids are massive fans of the show. So it's really close to him, this project."
Having an intimate reason for taking on a project, however, does not necessarily guarantee a great film. What might be a better indication of quality is how much effort and care Night apparently put into it.
"It's all about the preparation," said Rathbone, who plays Sokka. "That's one thing I really learned, is how hard and how long Night takes to prepare his films and to really get into it. He had every single shot plotted out, and it was really nice to work with someone who tells you what's going to come next in his vision."

Remember Me International Box Office

Robert Pattinson’s Remember Me has been called a downright box-office flop by some. That isn’t correct. A box-office disappointment, sure, but definitely not a flop considering its $16 million price tag.

Even if Summit Entertainment spent that same amount — or several million more — promoting and distributing the film, Remember Me will most likely end up in the black after worldwide box-office rentals (not grosses, as exhibitors keep about 50% of the share) and ancillary revenues are added up.

At the domestic box office — United States and Canada — Remember Me has grossed $14.5 million after 12 days. Day-to-day revenues have varied widely, with increases and decreases at times reaching 20%.

Overseas, Remember Me has opened in only a handful of major movie markets since March 11. According to country figures found at Box Office Mojo, Remember Me has grossed $5.42 million at the international box office as of March 21. That places its worldwide total at about $20 million.

The three top markets have been Russia with $1.824 million, Brazil with $1.118m, and Australia with $916K. Further down the list are Greece with $316K and Sweden with $279K.

Remember Me will open in major markets such as Japan, China, the United Kingdom, Germany, Italy, Spain, South Korea, Mexico, and France in the coming weeks. Expect revenues to soar even if Remember Me doesn’t turn out to be a bona fide success.

Awesome Fan Encounter With The Twilight Saga Cast

Eclipse Movie

Could "Eclipse" Make Less Money Than "New Moon"?

One of the films expected to battle for the summer box office crown or at least place in the top five is the third "Twilight" feature, "The Twilight Saga: Eclipse." The second installment, "New Moon," broke the single day all-time opening record with $72 million, is currently the third biggest 3-day opening of all time with $142 million and ended up with $296 million domestic and $707 million worldwide. And that was all in November when many of the franchise's younger fans had school on Friday (although let's assume many of them cut out early). "Eclipse's" June 30 release should find those young tween girls out of school and flocking to the theater. Adding more intrigue to the box office gross is that "Eclipse" will also be released in IMAX theaters which feature higher ticket prices. So, a larger opening weekend is guaranteed right? No doubt, but what happens after that?

Part of the reason "New Moon" grossed so much was that non-fans interested in the pop culture phenomenon and who hadn't even seen "Twilight" hit the multiplex to check it out. And yes, a lot of boyfriends were dragged along too. Will those moviegoers be as eager to return for another go around? Or, even taking the more lucrative summer season into effect, could "Eclipse" be blinded by a somewhat lower gross than "New Moon"? One thing's for sure, if "Eclipse's" reviews are stronger than "New Moon's" it shouldn't be a problem. If they are worse? Watch out.

"The Twilight Saga: Eclipse" opens nationwide and in IMAX on June 30.

Another 'Breaking Dawn' Director To Consider : M. Night Shyamalan

Summit Entertainment is clearly gearing up to get moving on "Breaking Dawn," the final entry in the "Twilight" (which still may or may not be released in two parts). There was a lot of talk over the last week or two about potential directors, with the names Gus Van Sant, Sofia Coppola, Bill Condon and Stephen Daldry all coming up as short-list possibilities. I put those options to a vote last week: Coppola got 40%, Van Sant got 27%, Condon got 18% and Daldry got 15%. So no clear majority.

Well I'm here today to make things even more confusing. This isn't an official possibility on the table for Summit -- as far as we know -- but a noteworthy filmmaker professed his love for Stephenie Meyer's vampire series in a chat on the Kid's Choice Awards red carpet over the weekend: M. Night Shyamalan.

"I would've loved to be-- I love the series, and Catherine [Hardwicke's] movie, it was one of my favorite movies of that year," he said. "Really, I thought tonally, it was a perfect movie. I called her up after I saw 'Twilight' and was like 'That was amazing.' So I'm a big fan."

Shyamalan just recently worked with "Twilight" star Jackson Rathbone on "The Last Airbender," a live-action adaptation of the popular Japanese anime series "Avatar: The Last Airbender." That movie hits theaters this summer, on July 2. Shyamalan is known for frequently screwing with viewers' heads in hits like "The Sixth Sense" and "Unbreakable"; "Airbender" is a first for him, a big-budget, studio adaptation.

My own opinions of him as a filmmaker are mixed, but I've never claimed to be a "Twilight" expert. So I want to hear from you. Do you think Shyamalan is a good person for Summit to consider in weighing possible "Breaking Dawn" directors? Do you agree with his assessment of "Twilight" as "tonally" perfect? Would you pick him over the other directors whom we know are in the running?

Dakota Fanning evolves from child star to 'Runaways'

NEW YORK — When Dakota Fanning was approached to play a sexed-up singer from the Seventies, she knew exactly what to do.
Hit YouTube.

"I didn't know a lot about The Runaways or Cherie Currie when I got the script, and I looked online to see the videos of the Live in Japan tour and her performing Cherry Bomb, and I realized that I wanted to play her," says Fanning, who knew of Joan Jett, but had little exposure to the electric era.

Jett is an executive producer of The Runaways (in theaters nationwide April 9), which is based on Currie's memoir and chronicles the sharp rise and fall of the all-girl band.

Fanning embraces her first major adult role playing lead singer and sex kitten Currie opposite a leather-studded, chin-jutting young Jett, played by Kristen Stewart.

Fifteen, then and now

"A lot of people still think of me as young, and as the girl from I Am Sam, or whatever," Fanning says on a sunny spring afternoon in her room at the Regency Hotel after a day of doing non-stop press. She's plopped on a couch, dressed casually in skinny jeans, open-laced boots, a gray blazer layered over a graphic tee. Around her neck is a simple Tiffany gold key necklace.

"After this (film), I might be able to do different things," Fanning, 16, says. "As you get older, there are roles you can no longer do and so many more things you can do." Mentored on-set by Currie, on-screen Fanning dives deep into the pitfalls of fame: drinking, smoking (herbal cigarettes, she says), and thrusting sexuality full-force into the camera with each throaty cherry-bomb burst.

In person, Fanning is still the sweet, fresh-faced young actor behind past performances in I Am Sam, The Secret Life of Bees and Charlotte's Web.

"I really liked that I was 15 (playing the role), and (Currie) was 15 and seeing what a different time I've grown up in and thinking, 'I could probably never do this, I could probably never be on my own and on the road and performing in lingerie.' "

In a pivotal scene in the film, Fanning's slender body is encased in Currie's signature barely-there corset, worn originally on tour in Japan in 1977. Fanning keeps the costume at home.

"That corset is kind of how she expressed herself, and for Cherie, the way she expressed her sexuality was to wear that corset and to be the cherry bomb," she says.

To beef up her vocal chops, Fanning worked with Currie's original vocal coach.

"Then I was kind of thrown into the recording studio, and that's what you hear in the movie and on the soundtrack," Fanning says, noting The Runaways often recorded songs only a few times before releasing an album. "That was a little scary, but it actually worked out really well."

With new opportunities have come new friendships. She and Stewart, called "Salt and Pepper" in The Runaways (a nod to their blond and black David Bowie-style haircuts), remain close.

"She's become one of my best friends," says Fanning, who first met Stewart after hopping on the Twilight franchise during New Moon to play bloodthirsty vampire Jane to Stewart's innocent (and human) Bella. They reprise their roles in the next installment, Eclipse, scheduled for release in June.

Walking into New Moon felt as nerve-racking as the first day of school, Fanning says, but Stewart quickly brought her into the fold. "I've never really worked with a lot of young people in movies, and this is one of the first times I've worked really closely with someone that's closer to my age than a father figure or mother figure."

The two spent the first half of that New Moon day figuring each other out. "And then we were in a tent on the set, and it had a heater in it and we were alone, and we started talking and we instantly connected," she says.

In a Runaways scene, the two kiss, something both approached with little fanfare. "I wasn't even nervous," Fanning says. "It just kind of happened. The way it's written in the script, there's no direction. It was something that happened, they were best friends. It was a different time back then."

In her own life, Fanning has managed to build a surprisingly normal teenage life. She lives at home in Los Angeles with her parents, is crazy for Panda Express takeout and attends private school. Though she turned 16 in February, she cops to not having a learner's driving permit yet.

"There are some days where I'm like, I gotta drive, I gotta get out of here, I should be able to drive myself, and there are other days where I'm like, "Mom, it's OK, you can just drive me forever,' " she says with a laugh.

Of all her classes, she's into psychology, and with college on her to-do list, she has a career in mind that emulates Jodie Foster's.

After promoting The Runaways, Fanning will trade press calls for roll call, swapping corsets and vampires for pop quizzes and a cheerleading uniform.

"I thought it was something, you're going to high school, maybe I'll do cheerleading. It's something fun and completely normal and a good experience to have. And if I ever have to play a cheerleader," she says with a grin, "I'll know what it's like."

New Moon DVD sales beat Twilight

The Twilight Saga: New Moon has beaten its prequel Twilight in first week DVD sales.

More than 926,000 DVD and Blu-ray copies of New Moon, which stars Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner, were sold in the five days after release, compared to the 420,000 copies sold of Twilight when it first came out.

E1 Entertainment's Jon Bourdillon said: "We are very pleased with the sales for New Moon - this outstanding success is testament to the strength of the franchise and is a great foundation for the third instalment Eclipse, which is coming to cinemas in July."

Robert, Kristen and Taylor reprise their roles as vampire Edward Cullen, his girlfriend Bella Swan and werewolf Jacob Black respectively in New Moon and the eagerly-awaited Eclipse.
