"American Pie" was a hilarious classic 1999 high school comedy that launched the careers of Tara Reid (well, briefly), Jason Biggs (where'd he go?) Alyson Hannigan, Shannon Elizabeth (again, MIA) Sean William Scott, Mena Suvari, Christina Millian, and Chris Klein.

The old gang got together again for "American Pie 2" and "American Wedding" which didn't quite capture the magic of the first one. But "Twilight: New Moon" director Chris Weitz and his "Pie" director bro Paul Weitz hope to get the original cast back together again soon.

Universal is seriously considering it but it's still in the very early formative stages," Chris tells The Dish Rag. "But my brother and I are very keen to play some kind of role and we're hoping to get as many of the kids, as we like to call them, to be in it."

Weitz describes the sequel as "a reunion, a story about a reunion and all the humor and pathos that reunions imply."
