Los Angeles: Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner are today in mourning. Their bid to win a Razzie ended in failure last night. They couldn't even pick up an award for being the worst at what they do!
Yes, it's now official! "Twighlight Saga : New Moon" was nearly the Worst Sequal of the Year accompanied by possibly the Worst Screenplay ever written. Then it gets better. Nominated as the Worst Couple of the Year in a movie, the Razzie Academy, for the first time in its illustrious history, has listed not a pair of actors but three!
Responsibiliy for hitting the depths of awfullness rests squarely on the shoulders of Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart AND Taylor Lautner. And all three of them stood likely to win the Golden Razzie when the ceremony was held on Saturday night.
"This was the one we wanted", declared Kristen Stewart. "We were all terrible in it. Watching it again makes me cry with laughter. Imagine, people paid money to see that crap."
"No apologies from me", said Robert Pattinson. "I just turned up as I was told, learned my lines, said them reasonably out loud - then got the hell out of it as fast as I could".
"I don't agree with the judges", said Taylor Lautner. "I thought I was wonderful in "New Moon" and I'm looking forward to seeing it again.
Competition for the statue came from Sandra Bullock & Bradley Cooper for their seriously useless display in 'All About Steve'.
And although Bullock ran out winners, the Twilight team stole all the headlines...
