Taylor Lautner takes Robert Pattinson's place by Kristen Stewart's side

Twilight heartthrob Robert Pattinson, who is preparing for the release of Eclipse, was no where to be seen at girlfriend Kristen Stewart's Runaways premiere in LA last night - and instead left Taylor Lautner to take his place.

Robert Pattinson, who is dating Kristen Stewart and stars with her and Taylor Lautner in Twilight Saga: Eclipse, did not attend the premiere for Kristen's latest film The Runaways in LA, despite Kristen's show of support at his New York premiere for Remember Me .

Taylor - who plays Jacob Black in the Twilight movies - earned bonus points for Team Jacob as he accompanied Kristen down the red carpet.

And following the release of the full Eclipse trailer yesterday, Kristen says she's already swaying towards Team Jacob and loves his look in the new film.

She said: "I think Taylor [Lautner] looks really great. Like, he looks very strong and I love his voice in it."

Kristen looked stunning in a pink Doori dress and seemed to be happy posing with her co-stars and signing autographs for fans.

She was joined by rocker legends Joan Jett and Cherie Currie as well as her co-star Dakota Fanning, who looked gorgeous in a gold sequined dress with mesh detailing, on the red carpet.
