Robert Pattinson is the focus of a new DVD called Robsessed. Directors, producers and industry insiders speak out about the Twilight star’s secrets, his bed antics with Kristen Stewart and reveal ‘he is just like one of us.’
He may be the hottest property in Hollywood at the moment, but those who have worked with Twilight heartthrob Robert Pattinson, have revealed he is actually very down to earth.
Speaking in Robsessed, a DVD available this Monday in Asda, Rob’s drama teacher, co-stars and those who have worked closely with the star, discuss the secrets of his success and details of his meteoric rise to fame.
Daisy Gili, director of one of Robert’s early films; The Summer House, said she took him on because her script supervisor recommended him for the role.
She said: “He [script supervisor] thought he could take direction well and he wasn’t too big for his own boots even though he was 20 and enjoyed a relative amount of success and had cheek bones you could cut steak on.
“Robert came out to France with us, even though he was only in two scenes, and he did all sorts of good services for us, sharing a room with a camera operator.”
Daisy added: “He wasn’t paid very much, if anything at all and he was just an absolute treat to have on set.”
Producer of The Summer House, Anna MacDonald also praised the young star saying: “Robert integrates with the group. He isn’t full of himself, he’s just like one of us.”
The DVD also features discussion about the now infamous audition for Twilight where Rob and co-star Kristen Stewart reportedly had to ‘get close’ on a bed to showcase their chemistry. This clearly came naturally to the now loved-up pair.
Fans can see where Robert grew up and inside the drama school where he perfected his brooding acting skills that have got him to where he is today.
A DVD about Robert Pattinson, without him actually appearing in it, could be at risk of seeming tacky or un-informed. Surprisingly Robsessed is actually a sympathetic, interesting and informative look at Rob’s life so far, through the eyes of those who have worked with him and followed his career, with the odd Twi-hard fan thrown in for good measure.
