Kristen Stewart has been spotted out and about recently sporting a rock-chick look, somewhat inspired by Joan Jett whom she plays in movie The Runaways. Leather jackets, hooded tops and greasy hair have been favourites for a casual looking Kristen (and who can blame her), but the Oscars is the one night where every star has to shine.
At the BAFTAs last month, Stewart picked up the Orange Rising Star Award and took to the stage wearing a white strapless knee length dress. From the neck down she looked glamorous but her hair and make-up let her down and left her looking somewhat thrown together and awkward in the frock.
She slightly redeemed herself later that week when she won Elle UK’s Woman of the Year and turned up at the glamorous ceremony in an Emilio Pucci black and white mini dress. She seemed much more comfortable in this look, but again, failed to really stand out from the crowd.
The Oscars is her big chance to dazzle and although she isn’t nominated, Kristen will join Twilight co-star Taylor Lautner to present an award.
She previously wore a stunning, tule, Oscar de la Renta floor length gown to a Twilight premiere and it is thought she could choose a similar style for the Oscars ceremony.
Strapless designs seem to be a favourite of Kristen’s and suit her slender frame. Designers are said to be queuing up to dress the 19 year old beauty as they realise all eyes will be on her when she takes to the red carpet.
Lets hope hairdressers are also queuing up to get her (in a Cheryl Cole voice) ‘weak, limp, lifeless’ hair in order for the big day.
